Public Boating Course Schedule 2008

The Chain of Lakes Squadron is offering four 15-hour courses in boat operation, safety, chart reading, piloting, and other boating skills. The course content for all four courses is identical and is broken into two parts. Part A will cover boating safety and operation. Those who complete the Part A exam successfully will receive a boater safety card. Person under the age of 18 and at least 12 may use this card to legally operate a powerboat or other watercraft alone. Part B will be optional for those who wish to continue their training and will cover navigation and piloting. Upon completion of part B students will receive an additional certificate.
